Monday is Washing Day.
In the past the duties of running the household were set in regard to the day of the week. Monday was Washing Day. Hard to believe these days, but washing day used to be a major chore requiring an incredible amount of labour.
Stitched with 1 thread and beautifully detailed - complete the stitchery and frame it - or go on to make the peg bag...or do both.
This design would look great in blue or green or dark pink. I have a pastel one in the Gallery to show you for further inspiration.
Approx 12" wide and 16" high when completed.
